Actions

Learning how to use actions. Teri taught me how to use actions last Sunday and there are so many neat things you can do with them. Here is an example.

This action is called Stained Wood from atomic cupcake.

Now you might be asking, what exactly is an action? An Action is a recording of a series of commands in Photoshop to which you apply a name. Later on, you can play that recording back on a different file and have Photoshop do your work for you. You can write your own actions or you can download actions. Two of my favorite websites to download actions from so far are atomic cupcake and coffeeshop.

Atomic cupcake has one freebie a week and the stained wood action is free through Tuesday. They come out with new freebies each Wednesday. Coffeeshop has a bunch of neat freebies on their blog so check them out.
